The Center for Free Enterprise (CFE), members of the National Assembly Woo Jaejun and Kim Sohee, and the Korea Environment Policy Council successfully held the seminar “A Mid- to Long-Term Carbon-Free Energy Strategy That Revives the Environment and Businesses” on June 17. The seminar examined the limitations facing an approach focused solely on renewable energy—namely intermittency and deepening dependence on LNG—and confirmed that a practical solution that can protect both the environment and businesses is to make use of a range of carbon-free energy sources, including nuclear power, hydrogen, CCUS, and high-efficiency power grids, together from the standpoint of market principles and technological neutrality.
Thank you to everyone who attended.
