The Center for Free Enterprise (CFE) and the Korean Association for Market Economy successfully held a seminar on May 15 titled “Solutions to the High Exchange Rate: Interest Rate Response or Fundamental Improvement?” The seminar examined the structural causes behind the persistence of a high exchange rate and confirmed that the fundamental solution lies not in short-term government intervention, but in market-friendly structural reforms such as deregulation, capital market advancement, and securing fiscal soundness.
