1st Center for Free Enterprise (CFE) AI Content Contest Guide

The rapid advancement of AI technology is lowering the barriers to content creation. We have now entered an era in which anyone with only an idea and a message can create visual content such as webtoons and animation. In step with this trend, the Center for Free Enterprise (CFE) is holding a contest for creative works that express the values of liberalism and the market economy through AI-generated content.


□ Eligibility: Open to anyone interested in creating AI content (team entries allowed, up to 3 members)


□ Example contest themes

- Participants will use AI tools to create either a webtoon or animation.

- The examples below are for reference only, and any creative work themed around the values of liberalism and the market economy may be submitted.


① Free Creation

Economic problems and labor-market distortions caused by legislating a four-day workweek

The economic benefits of privatizing public enterprises and ways to implement it

The need to introduce flexible work arrangements and ways to resolve labor-market rigidity

The current state of regulations that infringe on property rights and ways to strengthen legal protection

The problem of National Pension fund depletion and plans for structural reform

The impact of stronger platform regulation by the Korea Fair Trade Commission on consumer welfare and innovation

Problems with stronger regulation of telemedicine platforms and harm to healthcare consumers

Problems with mandating an extended retirement age and ways to build a labor market without age discrimination


② Liberal Thinkers

Hayek — spontaneous order and the knowledge problem

Friedman — Free to Choose and monetarism

Mises — praxeology and the socialist economic calculation problem

Adam Smith — The Wealth of Nations and the principles of the free market

Buchanan — public choice theory and government failure


③ Moments of Liberty in History

The failure of the planned economy and the superiority of the free market as seen through the fall of the Berlin Wall

The correlation between economic freedom and prosperity through a comparison of the East and West German systems

The achievements of free trade and low regulation as shown by Hong Kong’s economic development

The structural limits of a centralized economy as seen through the collapse of the Soviet Union

The role of free trade and market opening in Korea’s economic development


④ Center for Free Enterprise (CFE) Books

Choose one book published by the Center for Free Enterprise (CFE) and create a webtoon or animation based on its core message or a memorable scene

□ Submission Period: July 1, 2026 (Wed) 9:00 AM – July 31 (Fri) 5:00 PM deadline


□ How to Apply

Register through the Google Form application page in the required format

▶ Click to go to the application page.

- The application form will open at the start of the submission period (July 1 at 9:00 AM)

- Due to file-size limitations, works must be submitted by sharing a Google Drive link

- Include participant information / title of the work and a brief statement of planning intent and production process (about 500 characters) / specify the AI tools, models, and prompts used


□ Submission Format

- Webtoon: PNG format, 300 DPI or higher recommended, approximately 10 panels

- Animation: MP4 format, 720P or higher recommended, approximately 30 seconds to 1 minute


□ Awards

- Grand Prize: 0 individual(s)/team(s) (certificate and prize of KRW 2,000,000)

- Excellence Award: 0 individual(s)/team(s) (certificate and prize of KRW 1,000,000)

- Merit Award: 0 individual(s)/team(s) (certificate and prize of KRW 500,000)

※ All winners will also receive Center for Free Enterprise (CFE) books as prizes.


□ Announcement of Winners: August 14, 2026 (Fri) at 5:00 PM, posted on the website and winners contacted individually by text message


□ Awards Ceremony

(Offline event)

※ Attendance is mandatory for all winners.

- Date and time: August 21, 2026 (Fri) at 2:00 PM

- Venue: Pureun Hall (5F, Urban 322, 8 Yangpyeong-ro 25-gil, Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul)

※ Detailed information about the awards ceremony will be provided when winners are selected.


□ Notes and Other Information

1. All content must be created using AI tools, and applicants must describe the AI tools used and the production process.

2. Please submit your entry in accordance with the application format.

3. If duplicate submissions are made, only the most recently submitted work will be reviewed.

4. To ensure fairness in the judging process, submitted works cannot be modified after the submission deadline. Non-winning entries will not be disclosed externally after the contest ends; they will be retained by the organizer and then destroyed without further notice.

5. Works that illegally copy or plagiarize another person’s copyrighted work will be excluded from judging, and any award may be revoked even after selection if such facts are later confirmed. All legal responsibility arising from this rests solely with the participant.

6. Copyright in submitted works belongs to the creator (participant). Participants grant the Center for Free Enterprise (CFE) permission for non-commercial use solely for the following purpose:

- Posting on the Center for Free Enterprise (CFE)’s official SNS, website, and YouTube channel (commercial use beyond this purpose, and any sale or transfer to third parties, is strictly prohibited.)

7. Legal interpretations regarding ownership of copyright in AI-generated content are currently under discussion both in Korea and abroad. If any legal dispute arises in this regard, responsibility lies solely with the participant, and the Center for Free Enterprise (CFE) shall bear no responsibility. However, the Center for Free Enterprise (CFE) will use winning works only within the scope specified in these notes.

8. Personal information of applicants will be collected and retained for awarding, prize recognition, and delivery of prizes.

9. Winners will be asked to provide personal information (such as their resident registration number) for tax reporting purposes, and prize money will be paid after withholding tax.

10. Certificates will be provided in PDF form, and a physical certificate will be issued only once upon request. Please note that reissuance of a physical certificate is not available.
