The Center for Free Enterprise (CFE) is holding the 35th Market Economy Essay Contest. Anyone interested in the market economy is welcome to participate. We look forward to hearing your stories!
□ Eligibility: Anyone interested in the market economy
□ Submission Period: April 20, 2026 (Mon) 9:00 AM – April 29 (Wed) 5:00 PM deadline
□ Topic: Any topic related to the market economy: describe various everyday episodes that can be easily encountered in daily life through the principles of the market economy

□ Submission Guidelines: 10 pages of 200-character manuscript paper (about 1.5 A4 pages, approximately 2,000 characters including spaces)

- Entries not prepared in accordance with the submission format and method may be disadvantaged in judging.
□ Announcement of Winners: May 15, 2026 (Fri) 5:00 PM, posted on the website and winners will be contacted individually by text message
□ Awards Ceremony: Scheduled to be held online on May 22, 2026 (Fri) at 3:00 PM (via Zoom, etc.)
※ The awards ceremony will be conducted in a simplified format, so attendance by all winners is mandatory.

- Grand Prize: 0 winner(s) (certificate and KRW 300,000)
- Excellence Award: 00 winner(s) (certificate and KRW 150,000)
- Merit Award: 00 winner(s) (certificate and KRW 50,000)
※ All winners will also receive a Center for Free Enterprise (CFE) book as an additional prize.
□ Other Information
1. User traffic increases from the day before the deadline. Please complete your registration at least one hour before the deadline.
2. You must submit your entry using the designated application format.
3. In the case of duplicate submissions, the most recently submitted essay will be considered.
4. Submitted entries cannot be edited or deleted.
5. Copyright to all submitted works belongs to the Center for Free Enterprise (CFE).
6. If a winning entry is found to plagiarize a previous winning work or another person’s work, the award may be revoked even after selection, and all legal responsibility rests with the entrant.
7. Personal information of applicants will be collected and stored for the purposes of awarding, prize distribution, product delivery, and newsletter distribution.
8. Winners will be asked to provide personal information (such as resident registration number) for tax reporting at the time of the award, and prize money will be paid after withholding tax.
9. Certificates will be provided in PDF format, and a physical certificate will be issued only once upon request.
Please note that reissuance of a physical certificate is not possible.
