The Center for Free Enterprise (CFE) is holding the 25th Market Economy Essay Contest. We look forward to hearing your diverse thoughts on our everyday lives as seen through the lens of the market economy!

□ Eligibility: Open to anyone who wants to learn about the market economy

□ Submission Period: Friday, April 23, 2021 – Monday, May 3, 2021, closing at 17:00

□ Topics

- Any topic related to the market economy: Describe various episodes commonly encountered in daily life through the principles of the market economy

□ Submission Guidelines: 10 pages of 200-character manuscript paper (approximately one and a half A4 pages)

- The submission form will open at the start of the submission period.

- Entries not prepared according to the submission format and method may be disadvantaged in judging.

□ Announcement of Winners: Tuesday, May 18, 2021, posted on the website and winners notified individually

□ Awards

- Grand Prize: 0 winner(s) (certificate and a 300,000 KRW gift certificate)

- Excellence Award: 00 winner(s) (certificate and a 150,000 KRW gift certificate)

- Merit Award: 00 winner(s) (certificate and a 50,000 KRW gift certificate)

※ All winners will also receive CFE books as additional prizes.

□ Other Information

1. Website traffic increases starting the day before the deadline. Please register at least one hour before the deadline.

2. In the case of duplicate submissions, the most recently submitted essay will be considered.

3. Submitted entries cannot be edited or deleted.

4. Copyright for all submitted works belongs to the Center for Free Enterprise (CFE).

5. If an entry is found to plagiarize a previous winning work or another person’s work, the prize may be revoked even after selection, and all legal responsibility rests with the entrant.

6. Personal information of applicants will be collected and stored for the purposes of awards, prize notifications, prize delivery, and newsletter distribution.
