A book concert commemorating the publication of *Labor Conflict, Atlas Is Unfairly Blamed* was held at Pureun Hall on October 16, 2026.
This event was organized to examine the structural causes behind recurring conflicts in Korea’s labor market, with Professor Deokho Kim of the Sungkyunkwan University RISE Project Group, the author of the book, as the featured speaker. In particular, participants explored the problems of the labor market’s dual structure and the employment protection system, and discussed reasonable ways to resolve conflicts.
The talk concert that followed was moderated by Seunggil Lee, head of the Future Labor Reform Forum, and featured Sooyoung Lee, professor at Korea University’s Institute for Research on an Aging Society; Jiman Lee, professor at Yonsei University School of Business; and Jeontaek Hwang, deputy director of the Seoul Metropolitan Government Invested and Funded Institutions Labor-Management-Government Council, as panelists. They discussed the reasons labor conflicts continue to recur and the key issues in labor-management relations from various perspectives, while exploring ways to resolve conflicts through the coordination of interests and the design of rational institutions.
Thank you to everyone who participated.
