Students and members of the general public who have not properly studied economics have probably often tried to read economics books on the market, only to close them without getting very far because of the many graphs and complicated mathematical formulas. How can economics shed its reputation as “difficult economics” and “economics only insiders understand” and become more approachable to ordinary people?
Understanding Economics Properly is “an economics textbook for the general public” that removes the barriers of “graphs” and “formulas,” which make economics difficult for non-specialists to approach, and instead helps readers understand economics easily and familiarly through storytelling.
To commemorate the publication of Understanding Economics Properly, the Center for Free Enterprise (CFE) held an event to clear up common misconceptions about economics among the general public and to explore ways to make economics more accessible to a wider audience.
