Part 1 Discussion

This year has been filled with turmoil at home and abroad, including COVID-19, the U.S.-China hegemonic rivalry, and surging housing prices caused by real estate policy. To mark the close of the year, the Center for Free Enterprise (CFE), through its 2020 Freedom Nights event, seeks to find answers to the challenges we currently face. Once again, we turn to the classics for guidance. What might Adam Smith, Hayek, Mises, Buchanan, and Bak Jega have to tell us?
