Seminar on “Online Platform Regulation Bill: Problems and Policy Alternatives” Successfully Held

The seminar titled “Online Platform Regulation Bill: Problems and Policy Alternatives” was successfully held.

The event examined whether it is appropriate to introduce EU- and Germany-style platform regulation legislation in Korea. Participants discussed in depth how excessive ex-ante regulation could undermine innovation and competition in Korea’s platform industry. The seminar also highlighted the need for ex-post enforcement under the Monopoly Regulation and Fair Trade Act, the use of voluntary self-regulation, and the establishment of collaborative governance among stakeholders.

We would like to extend our sincere gratitude to everyone who participated in the seminar.
