Seminar on “A Growth-Promoting Ecosystem: The Importance of Law and Institutions” Held on May 14, 2025
At the seminar titled “A Growth-Promoting Ecosystem: The Importance of Law and Institutions,” Hyun-han Shin, Professor at Yonsei University, delivered a presentation highlighting concrete regulatory cases in areas such as market entry, financing, data, and labor. He emphasized that effective institutional reform is a crucial task that will determine the competitiveness of the Korean economy.
In the subsequent discussion, Hyuk-woo Lee, Professor at Pai Chai University, and Won Kang, Professor at Sejong University, participated in an in-depth exchange of views. They pointed out issues including the limitations of regulatory sandboxes, structural problems in the legislative process, and the need for a fundamental shift in legal and institutional perceptions.
