The book concert “Raising My Child to Become a Silicon Valley CEO” was held on Monday, September 22, 2025.

This event examined the structural limitations of Korea’s education system through the stories of global CEOs and explored new directions for education that value creativity and challenge. The author, Dr. Kim Jeong-ho (former Adjunct Professor at the Graduate School of Economics, Sogang University), emphasized the need for diversity and autonomy rather than uniform regulation, arguing that education fostering entrepreneurship is key to future competitiveness.

The program began with opening remarks by Choi Seung-no, President of the Free Enterprise Institute, followed by a presentation on the book by Dr. Kim Jeong-ho. A Q&A session then took place with panelists Kwon Hyun-seo, Director of the Future Center at the Institute for Economic and Social Research, and Kim Geon-ho, Senior Officer of the Youth Team at Gunpo City Hall. The panelists raised questions on practical, real-world education, learning through failure, and learner-centered education, to which Dr. Kim Jeong-ho highlighted the importance of educational system reform that supports creativity and innovation.

We sincerely thank everyone who participated in the event.
