Center for Free Enterprise, in partnership with Liberty & Reason, held a symposium on Coronavirus pandemic on May 27th. In the COVID-19 crisis, governments around the world implemented various kinds of statist policies to prevent the spread of the virus. In a national crisis, individual liberty is often seriously restricted in the name of overcoming it.
In light of the coronavirus crisis, this symposium aims to discuss the philosophy of liberalism regarding individuals and communities, and to share the outlook for the post-pandemic era. It was unfortunately closed to the public in order to prevent any possible spread of the virus. Five speakers presented their insightful arguments on the issue.
